Introduction

Hi! My name is Alex. I am a 5th year senior AE student with a structural concentration. I'm from NEPA and like food, cats, and the outdoors. I mainly took this class because I am interested in learning more about intelligent buildings, and what exactly that means and/or includes. I also (not to "butter" Mitchell up, I'm just being honest) decided to take this course when I found out Mitchell was the professor because I really enjoy his classes and passion for the subjects he teaches. I'm still not sure what to expect, but I hope to learn a lot. My guess for a definition for "intelligent building" is a building that incorporates technology with construction and/or operation to optimize the efficiency of the structure and its functions.
